Flashback by Kevin Mark Smith

Today I'd like to introduce Kevin Mark Smith. He has his own law firm in Wichita, Kansas.  Kevin is a former Assistant District Attorney for Sedgwick County, Kansas, and an Allied attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom. He serves on the Kansas Board of Indigent Defense Services. In his spare time he writes Christian fiction and nonfiction, and pulls many of his book ideas from real cases he's read about on various legal news services.

His latest release, Flashback, is currently has a 4.6 rating on Amazon. It's an edge of your seat contemporary/romance/suspense.

My review:

Affluent Dallas attorney, Kenneth Cartwright, was living a life driven by his passion for success. Something he thought he’d acquire by becoming the lawyer his grandfather had been.

But on a hot Monday morning, taking a break in a coffee shop, Ken questioned himself if the path he had chosen so many years before had been the right one. An overwhelming sadness enveloped him as memories of another life, one with a wife and children, clouded his vision.

His dream life and now life parallel each other in most ways, but veered off at the outcome. That’s when he meets Stacy. A few days later Ken received a referral and a multi-layered case riddled with fraud, deceit, and murder. As he falls in love with Stacy, he discovers there’s more to life than wealth and achievement.

Mr. Smith writes a very compelling novel. There’s edge-of-your-seat suspense as well as a depth in character development that has the reader identifying with the players in this gripping saga. The unexpected ending completes the story.

Flashback is available on Amazon and Prism Book Group.
